Good Morning!

GOOD MORNING!

I'm loading up on coffee and heading out to the grocery store. We have a big storm coming in this weekend and we need lots of yummy goodies in the house.
I have a couple questions weighing on my mind and wondering if you all can help.
One. If you are local (Rhode Island or Massachusetts) how much should I worry about this storm? I don't watch the news so I'm a lil behind. The entire front section of our home is windows from ceiling to floor and I'm concerned with them breaking...is that something I really hould worry about? Should we be headed to the in laws? Thoughts?

Another question for Rhode Island natives...especially those who freelance. What are you doing for health insurance? Any suggestions or recommendations? I put a blast out on twitter and facebook and got a lot responses with people suggesting everything from Bluecross to Medicaid to Tufts. Help a girl out? I had people refer me to sites about the AARP...uh don't need that but thanks! People were throwing words out like Advantage plans and other jargon I'm lost on. Any help would be appreciated. I really need to get this settled and start looking for a new Pediatrician for Hendrix.

Anyways, I wanted to share what I'm wearing since i love this shirt. It was my little brothers and when he was about five he was wearing it, I took it off him to give him a bath and when my shirt got wet I grabbed his and threw it on. I never gave it back. Sorry Mark! I like having a piece of him wherever I go through out the day.

*side note...I need to get to Chelsea ASAP and get my hairrrr done. Look at that mop!**

Have a great day everyone!

  1. I can't help with the storm questions, but if you ever need someone to play that game of Apples to Apple I see in the background, you can call me! =)

  2. Hello! I am a native (south) Floridian...ie I like to think of myself as a bit of a hurricane/storm expert. I lived through Andrew, and countless others for example, and spent the entire first half of my sophomore yr of HS out from school due to hurricanes. You don't have to worry, in my opinion. If you are worried, you can board up your windows, with tape on the inside, and typically with huge plywood on the outside, but really I think you're just looking at rain and wind. Hope this helps!

  3. So I don't currently live in RI but I took care of lots of moms and babies in RI over the past few months and I do know of Neighborhood and Rite Care as 2 plans for those without group/business health insurance plans. I don't myself know the exact details, but I do know those are 2 good options to look into as freelancers!

  5. Call Neighborhood Health. That's who I have and they're amazing... I'm sure you are over the income guidelines to get it for free but I think they have low cost options for everyone.

Also... I'd be a teeeeeny bit worried about the front windows but if you keep those heavy curtains closed they'll keep any glass from flying in. Plus, as it looks now the storm won't be incredibly bad. I'll let you know if I hear anything to the contrary later.
