Well Helllooooo Sitstas! Welcome to Just By Living!
Let me introduce myself..
I am Adriana, wife to Michael, step mom to a beautiful boy we call "C" and mother to Hendrix.
For years I have a been a freelance fashion writer for numerous blogs and even a couple fashion publications but by far the most challenging and complicated writing endeavor has been this blog. I started it as a form of therapy after my babe almost died in front of me during his birth. Read our birth story below.
This week I have been re-posting my absolute favorite posts for your reading enjoyment. Check them out below. Feel free to leave some love, follow me on Twitter, or maybe both.
I am in the process of making a one year video for my little Henry...check out the teaser for it below. It includes some footage of his first real game of peek a boo and H falling asleep in his lil car.

ReplyDeleteI completely get the blog-for-free-therapy factor. I too have nearly lost my own babies at birth and have now lost 'my' babies that I care for. Not much else taxes the human spirit.
Having watched my baby die, at one month, in front of me, I understand completely. I am dreading but looking forward to reading your story.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day.

Congratulations on your SITs feature! I hope you enjoy your day in the sun:-)
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS to have a look around. The blogs about the birth of your baby were so moving. My son's birth wasn't so traumatic for me as he was a c-section, but I remember so well that he couldn't breathe. They brought him to me, rubbed his little foot against my face and rushed him to NICU while I lay there trying to sort it out through my groggy mind. It was so frightening and it was 5 days before I saw him again. He's 29 now and very healthy!
ReplyDeleteI was a new mother's group, I remember a woman saying that all mother's should share their birth story over and over and to anyone who will listen because it is the most love.trauma.joy.pain. transcendent experience of our lifetime. I agree and adored reading yours as terrifying as it was. Happy ending and all.

ReplyDeleteOH- your birth story gave me the chills and made me tear up. I had a completely controlled c-section (she wouldn't budge) and the circumstances were COMPLETELY different, but...I think any Mom would be hard-pressed to not think about what a miracle havin' a kiddo is and how her personal story was simply kinda incredible.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day from Chicago,
Keely
